Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church

About this church

At Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sunday School opens the morning at 9 a.m.; the 10 a.m. worship service is also carried on Facebook Live. The congregation describes its liturgy as biblically based and shaped by God's life-changing Word in both youth and adult messages. Baptism and Holy Communion are central sacraments, and the church invites people into worship, fellowship, and service. It has served the Brownstown community for more than 130 years, making it one of the more established congregations in this editorial group.

The building history provides a useful accessibility detail absent from many directory listings. A major 1988 addition created a fellowship hall, kitchen, nursery, two classrooms, restrooms, pastor and secretary offices, a large narthex, and an elevator connecting all three levels; the basement was reorganized into five classrooms and a choir room. Office hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon, giving visitors a defined time for questions. The current public pages do not state service length, musical format, Communion frequency or visitor eligibility, baptism preparation, Sunday School ages, nursery availability during worship, check-in or volunteer screening, customary attire, parking layout, hearing assistance, livestream archive availability, or whether every level and entrance is step-free despite the interior elevator.
