Clarkston United Methodist Church

About this church

Clarkston United Methodist Church is a Protestant congregation in Clarkston, Michigan, focused on loving Jesus, caring for families, developing friendships around faith, and making a practical difference locally. Both Sunday services use a traditional format with hymns, choir music, Scripture, prayer, liturgy, and a message, while the church describes its approach as connecting those elements with contemporary life. Beyond worship, children, youth, music, and service ministries provide routes into relationship and participation. The congregation’s visitor materials emphasize comfort for people attending church for the first time as well as those simply new to the Clarkston community.

Sunday worship is offered at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m., both in person and online. Because the two gatherings share the same traditional character, visitors can choose primarily by timing rather than having to decide between different musical identities. The church stands at 6600 Waldon Road, across from Clarkston Elementary School and just west of Renaissance High School. Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday until noon, providing a useful weekday contact window. Families seeking children’s or youth programming should consult those ministry calendars separately, while online worship offers a straightforward way to hear the preaching and music before arriving.
