North Flushing Baptist Church

About this church

North Flushing Baptist Church begins Sunday with coffee fellowship at 9:30 and Sunday school at 10. Morning worship and Kids Worship start at 11, followed by a potluck at 12:15 and afternoon worship at 1:15. The morning service lasts about 75 minutes, and guests are encouraged to arrive 20 minutes early. Clothing ranges from dressier outfits to whatever feels comfortable. The building is fully wheelchair accessible, with covered drop-off entrances, while lobby greeters help families locate nursery, children's, youth, and adult classes.

The congregation teaches a conservative Baptist faith centered on repentance, salvation through Christ, biblical instruction, and the Great Commission. Teenagers join the whole church for worship while meeting separately for Sunday school. The children's ministry includes nursery, class, and Kids Worship, and Wednesday at 6:30 adds AWANA alongside adult prayer and Bible study. Church membership follows a pastoral conversation and congregational vote, a useful detail for someone considering long-term involvement. A first-time household can choose only morning worship, but the full Sunday arc—from coffee and classes through the fellowship meal and afternoon service—provides a clearer sense of this close-knit church.
