Fruitport Christian Reformed Church

About this church

Fruitport Christian Reformed Church gathers at 3520 Pontaluna Road for Sunday worship at 10:00 a.m., with coffee available from 9:30 and again after the service. Worship normally lasts a little more than an hour and follows a recognizable Reformed rhythm of call to worship, prayer, confession or creed, Scripture and sermon, response, and blessing. Nursery care is available on request from screened volunteers, but children are also welcome to remain in the sanctuary with coloring materials or their own quiet activities.

The congregation emphasizes relationship-centered hospitality and makes specific room for people with disabilities and varied ways of expressing themselves. All areas except the pulpit platform are wheelchair accessible, and the visitor guide says vocal interruptions are treated as normal. Beyond worship, Fruitport operates the Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry by Wednesday appointment. Guests can meet hosts who offer guidance, a listening ear, and optional prayer, and may attend community meals on the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays. The pantry is supported by neighbors, businesses, schools, agencies, and other churches. Fruitport connects this work to its Reformed commitment to Scripture and its stated purpose of worshiping together, loving the community, and sharing joy in God's love.
