Capitol City Baptist Church And School

About this church

Capitol City Baptist Church and School in Holt follows a traditional two-service Sunday rhythm: Sunday School at 10:00 a.m., morning worship at 11:00, and evening worship at 6:00. The church also publishes morning Bible study at 10:30 and evening Bible study at 6:30, though the homepage does not label the weekday for those studies; visitors should confirm that part of the schedule directly. Services emphasize Bible-based preaching and teaching, congregational singing, and traditional special music. The church states that it uses the King James Version in Sunday classes and preaching.

The ministry extends across life stages and includes Capitol City Baptist School. A particularly distinctive feature is its Deaf Ministry, which the church says has served the Lansing area for more than forty-five years. Deaf participants meet in a weekly service led in sign language by an assistant pastor rather than relying solely on interpretation embedded in another gathering. This profile will be most useful to families seeking an independent Baptist setting with traditional music, Sunday education, a Christian-school connection, or dedicated ministry in sign language. The church is at 5100 Willoughby Road. Because the Bible-study weekdays are unclear on the published page, confirm them before making a separate trip.
