About this church
Kaleva Bible Church opens Sunday with prayer and coffee from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by worship from 10:00 to about 11:00. Greeters provide a bulletin and help newcomers get oriented. A praise team leads blended traditional and contemporary music, and worshipers participate in different ways—some raising hands or clapping, others listening quietly. Wednesday adult Bible study begins at 6:30 p.m.
The congregation grew from a small home Bible study connected with the Gilead Baptist Mission. Kaleva Baptist Church was built in 1950 and adopted the Kaleva Bible Church name in 2017 to emphasize biblical teaching and community welcome. Nursery care and interactive classes help children learn Scripture, while ministries for men, women, children, youth, and the food pantry build relationships and serve local needs. The church's vision is introducing families and individuals to Christ in a loving way and supporting a Christ-centered life. Visitors who feel nervous can use the relaxed coffee hour before entering the main service.
