First Baptist Church

About this church

First Baptist Church in Lake Orion begins Sunday with a Biblical Essentials class from 9:15 to 10:00 a.m., followed by morning worship at 10:30. The service combines hymns and newer worship songs led by choir and orchestra with prayer, Scripture reading, and an expository sermon. Visitor parking is reserved near the front, additional parking is available behind the building, and nursery care is provided for Sunday services. Children in kindergarten through sixth grade may attend Children’s Church during morning worship.

Established in 1904, the congregation identifies as an autonomous, independent Baptist church. Sunday evening ministries run from 5:00 to 6:15 and include Truth Trackers for children, youth group, and Adult Bible Fellowships. Wednesday midweek prayer, teen programming, and Bible studies meet from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.; young adults meet Friday during the same hour. Children’s and teen volunteers are vetted and trained, and the teen calendar adds camps, service projects, recreation, and ministry trips. Adults can choose men’s and women’s studies, home prayer groups, and Saturday men’s prayer, making the weekly schedule broader than the main Sunday service alone.
