Bedford Church of the Nazarene

About this church

Bedford Church of the Nazarene gathers Sundays at 10:30 a.m. at 7866 Douglas Road in Lambertville. A typical service lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes and uses music ranging from current contemporary songs to hymns. Guests may wear anything from jeans and a T-shirt to a suit, and coffee and a snack are available before worship. Children from prekindergarten through fifth grade begin with the congregation, then leave for their class midway through the service.

The church belongs to the global Church of the Nazarene and locates its theology in the Wesleyan tradition, describing Nazarenes as Christian, holiness-seeking, and missional. Its local emphasis is unity, love, faith, and fellowship rather than a particular dress or worship preference. Middle- and high-school students meet Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.; other connections include children’s Bible study, softball, praise team, and a women’s group focused on fellowship and community help. For newcomers, the official guide removes several common uncertainties at once: a single Sunday time, a predictable service length, varied music, informal clothing, and a clear point when children transition to class.
