The Village Church of Ortonville

About this church

The Village Church of Ortonville is a Methodist-rooted congregation whose local story reaches to an 1850 worshiping society. Its historical account follows the church from early meetings in the Old Stone Church through a relocated building, a new parsonage, local leadership, and members sent into ministry and mission. Today the congregation summarizes its purpose as shaping lives, sharing faith, and spreading God’s love locally and globally.

Sunday worship begins at 10:00 a.m. inside the church and streams live on YouTube at the same hour. The matching in-person and online schedule gives travelers, homebound participants, and first-time guests a simple way to join or preview worship. Ministry pages describe opportunities beyond the service, while community prayer requests provide a direct route for pastoral and congregational care. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; Thursday is not included in the published schedule. The current public name differs from the older Methodist styling found in the church’s history, so the profile retains the Village Church brand while accurately identifying its Methodist heritage.
