Emmanuel Bethel Church

About this church

Emmanuel Bethel Church in Royal Oak gathers for Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m., with archived streams available online. The service features traditional music and biblical preaching in a casual setting; shorts are common during warm weather. Families keep young children with them, and the congregation explicitly treats their sounds as a welcome sign of life rather than a disruption. An additional Sunday learning hour appears on the church calendar at 9:30. The congregation supports the National Association of Evangelicals statement of faith.

Emmanuel Bethel traces more than 125 years of ministry through three locations: an original Detroit building, a move to downtown Royal Oak, and the present Normandy Road campus. Children’s ministry uses stories, music, games, and crafts to relate Scripture to daily life, while student ministry helps middle- and high-school students form a personal faith. Service extends through a winter warming center, school-supply assistance, medical mission camps in India, and training for pastors in Africa. This combination of historical continuity, intergenerational worship, casual dress, traditional music, archived services, and local and international projects gives EBC a profile that is both established and outward looking.
