Messiah Lutheran Church

About this church

Messiah Lutheran Church is a small LCMS congregation in Carrollton Township, north of Saginaw and west of Zilwaukee. Members come from communities across the area to receive God’s gifts in Divine Service, study Scripture, and sing and pray together. The congregation treats the Bible as the guide for teaching, faith, and life, while describing itself as close-knit and open to visitors. Sunday study and monthly men’s and women’s groups create room for conversation beyond the liturgy.

Divine Service is celebrated Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Sunday Bible study follows at 10:45. Because the same worship form is offered midweek, people who work Sunday mornings have a regular alternative rather than only an occasional special service. Christmas follows a separate festival schedule: the published pattern includes Christmas Eve Evening Prayer and candle lighting at 4:00 p.m. and Christmas Day Divine Service at 9:30 a.m., so holiday visitors should not assume the ordinary Wednesday hour. Church office hours are limited to Monday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding holidays, which is useful when seeking confirmation or pastoral contact before a visit.
