Hope United Methodist Church

About this church

Hope United Methodist Church is a Southfield congregation whose mission is inviting people to experience a community inspired by Jesus’ love. Its roots reach to nineteenth-century Methodist work in Southfield, with the congregation incorporated as a Methodist society in 1853. Today the campus supports worship, Bible study, children and youth programming, music, affinity groups, and community service, with online access extending participation beyond the building.

Sunday worship begins at 10:00 a.m. in person and streams on Facebook Live and YouTube. Adult Sunday School meets virtually from 8:00 to 9:15 a.m., allowing participants to join formation before the main service without traveling early. The official service page also notes audio-only access to worship and Bible-study sessions. Historical material records that a 7:30 a.m. service was added in 1993, but that hour is not part of the current published schedule and should not be treated as active. The website advertises a children’s choir and nursery-interest process, while the broader ministry directory provides current connection points rather than one fixed timetable for every group. First-time visitors should follow the Service Times and Directions page and dated calendar, especially for holiday worship or special community events.
