Sparta Baptist Church

About this church

Sparta Baptist Church begins its Sunday worship gathering at 9:30 a.m. and Engagement Hour classes at 11:00 at 38 South State Street. The worship service normally runs to about 10:50, creating a short transition into education. The congregation describes its culture through grace, biblical teaching, community, and intentional spiritual growth rather than attendance alone.

Treehouse Ministry serves children from birth through fifth grade with trained volunteers, music, games, video, live teaching, and age-appropriate groups. Kids Club is available Sunday mornings from 9:30 to noon and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. from October through March. Youth ministry welcomes both regular attenders and community teenagers and encourages questions rather than expecting passive agreement. Families can use the extended Sunday children’s block while adults attend worship and classes, but should complete registration beforehand when possible. Other newcomers can experience worship alone at 9:30 or stay for Engagement Hour. Because Wednesday Kids Club is seasonal, consult the official registration and family pages instead of assuming it runs throughout the year.
