Faith United Reformed Church

About this church

Faith United Reformed Church gathers in West Olive twice each Sunday, at 9:30 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. Both services are streamed live, giving prospective visitors a straightforward way to become familiar with the congregation before attending. Its approach to worship is distinctly Reformed: the church says Scripture governs how it worships, and it understands the local congregation as a community united for worship, service, and fellowship. Sunday School and catechism for all ages follow the morning service during the school year.

The congregation held its first service in May 1994 and spent its first three years worshiping in the Borculo Christian School gym. A 2016 fire destroyed the church building apart from the fellowship hall; the first service in the rebuilt sanctuary followed in February 2018. Programs extend through the week during the school year. High-school students meet monthly on a Saturday and after the third Sunday evening service, while the LIFE group serves grades six through eight. Cadets and Girls of Faith meet on first and third Wednesdays, a women's Bible study uses those Wednesday mornings, and an adult study meets on the second Wednesday evening. Because these groups follow the academic year, contact the church before making a midweek visit.
