Heartland Evangelical Free Church

About this church

Heartland Evangelical Free Church in Annandale holds Sunday services at 8:30 and 10 a.m., with both available by livestream. From September through May, Sunday School for children ages four through fifth grade runs from 10 to 11. During summer, Children's Church replaces that pattern during the 10 a.m. service. Awana for preschool through fifth grade meets Wednesday from 6:15 to 8 p.m. from September through April. Youth ministry serves grades six through twelve on Wednesday nights during the school year, following local school calendars, while summer gatherings move among homes, parks, and other locations instead of keeping one published weekly venue.

Heartland's mission invites people to come to Jesus, follow him with joy, and serve him with passion. The church is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America and explains “Evangelical” through Gospel proclamation and biblical authority, “Free” through congregational participation without central control, and “Church” as people rather than a building. Its children's ministry follows the same come, follow, and serve progression through knowing Scripture, loving God and others, and practical service. New families should pick 10 a.m. if they need the published school-year Sunday School or summer Children's Church. Wednesday children's and youth schedules are seasonal, so participants should consult registration and calendar information around school breaks.
