St. John’s Lutheran Church

About this church

St. John’s Lutheran Church is a Buffalo congregation offering contemporary and traditional worship, Christian education, children’s and family ministry, confirmation, student groups, prayer, compassion, music, preschool, and mission. Its weekend schedule separates musical styles clearly, while radio and online broadcasting make the early Sunday service accessible from home. Children are welcome in worship and can use activity bags and a children’s message.

Contemporary worship meets Saturday at 5:00 p.m.; traditional services begin Sunday at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday School, youth Bible study, and adult education meet at 9:15. The 8:00 service is broadcast on KRWC 1360 AM and livestreamed on YouTube. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays, and healing prayer is offered after the Saturday service on the first weekend of each month. For easiest access, worshipers can use the north parking lot and Door 1; Door 2 has power assistance and nearby accessible parking. Services run a little over an hour. The Welcome Center provides maps and information, and families may keep children in the sanctuary. Visitors should select Saturday for contemporary music or either Sunday hour for a traditional format rather than expecting the same style at all three.
