Fairmont Baptist Church

About this church

Fairmont Baptist Church offers Sunday School classes for all ages at 9:30 a.m., morning worship at 10:30, children’s church at 10:50, and evening worship at 5:00. A nursery is available for children age two and younger. Wednesday Bible study and prayer begin at 6:30 p.m.; during the school year, Wednesday is also Family Night, with supper and age-specific Bible classes and activities for children, teenagers, and adults.

Smaller groups add predictable points of connection. Men and boys gather about every four weeks on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast and Bible study, while a women’s study meets monthly on Saturday at 9:30 with refreshments; the church asks participants to consult its current calendar for exact dates. Fairmont Baptist was formally organized on August 17, 1947, with 27 charter members, and its early ministry included a women’s missionary fellowship and a local radio program. Today, the combination of all-age Sunday education, nursery and children’s worship, an evening service, school-year family programming, and gender-specific Saturday studies gives prospective visitors a fuller picture than the main worship time alone.
