Community Presbyterian Church

About this church

Community Presbyterian Church of Rochester gathers onsite and online at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, celebrating Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Summer occasionally brings worship outdoors or a joint service with the related congregation in Plainview, so the current bulletin is useful when planning around a special date. The church describes itself as open-hearted, open-minded, and inclusive, with worship intended to support people in both need and joy. Sermons and bulletins remain available online for a preview of its Reformed teaching.

The congregation's mission language emphasizes sharing God's message, supporting all people, and working for peace and justice. Ministry extends into Christian education, fellowship, pastoral care, and service projects rather than ending with the Sunday hour. Its Rochester story began as a new-church development serving northwest neighborhoods, while continuing relationships with other area Presbyterians remain visible in shared events. A visitor can therefore expect a smaller community-oriented church with a traditional Presbyterian center, an inclusive public identity, and flexible hybrid access. The official site currently lists Fairway Place in its worship information, so visitors should follow the site's directions rather than rely only on an older directory address.
