The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Waconia

About this church

Two congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints share the meetinghouse at 1350 Peitz Avenue in Waconia, Minnesota, the only such building the directory lists for the city. Plymouth holds the next-nearest meetinghouse, about 19.1 miles away, and the property includes wheelchair-accessible entrances, parking, a restroom, and seating.

The Chaska Ward meets first, at 9 a.m., followed by the Waconia Ward at 10:30 a.m., each running the familiar pattern of hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from members before a second hour of classes begins. Congregations here are organized by neighborhood, which is why both share this one address on a staggered schedule. Visitors need not dress up, nothing is collected, and since these times are set locally, a quick call ahead of a first visit to Waconia is worth it.
