The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Warroad

About this church

Warroad sits far from most other Latter-day Saint meetinghouses; the directory lists just one in the city, at 63886 County Road 2, and the nearest alternative is over 154 miles away in Virginia, Minnesota. The Warroad Ward gathers there at 10 a.m. for sacrament meeting, an hour of hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from members of the congregation.

A second hour of classes follows, with Primary held separately for children, and the building's Sunday hours close by 12 p.m. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not charge for attending, and no collection plate is passed during the service. Visitors are welcome in whatever clothing they have, though many regulars dress more formally out of custom. Wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking, restroom, and seating are all part of the building. Given the distance to the next nearest congregation, and since local schedules can shift over time, a quick call ahead of a first visit is especially worth the effort here.
