First Presbyterian Church Of Vicksburg

About this church

First Presbyterian Church of Vicksburg begins Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30. Its Evangelical Presbyterian identity is expressed through Word and Sacrament, prayer, music, mission, and a Reformed statement of faith shaped by the Westminster Confession. Communion is included in worship six times each year. Nursery care is available during Sunday services and churchwide activities, with pagers for parents of infants; younger children may also use a separate children's worship setting after the message.

The congregation is marking its 200th anniversary in 2026, placing its current ministries within a long Vicksburg story. Members prepare and deliver Meals on Wheels twice monthly in Warren County and serve through local food, shelter, disability, and relief organizations. Wednesday evenings combine supper at 5:00 with Kids for Christ and small groups at 6:00, while a children's choir program develops singing, handbell, and rhythm-instrument skills. Youth gather for Sunday School at 9:30, and men meet for prayer and Bible study Tuesday at 7:15 a.m. These overlapping schedules make the church especially accessible to families seeking traditional Presbyterian worship alongside organized education, music, and hands-on local service.
