Freedom Ministries

About this church

Freedom Ministries gathers for Sunday morning worship at 10 a.m. on Highway 39 between Mount Vernon and Aurora. The church describes a Spirit-filled approach centered on energetic worship, knowing Jesus, changed lives, and restoring people who are hurting. Its mission draws on Christ's command to make disciples, while its vision is expressed as seeing people loved back to life through Jesus. Founded in 2000, the congregation highlights decades of full-time ministry and a commitment to the surrounding community.

Wednesday brings age-specific opportunities: Freedom Student Ministries meets at 6:30 p.m., while Wednesday Night Revival and Freedom Kids begin at 7. The student program serves young people through fellowship, Scripture, holiness, love for God and others, and a supportive community for discipleship. Freedom Kids uses teaching about God's love and identity in Christ, with an emphasis on beginning discipleship at a young age. Since the two Wednesday start times differ, families with children in separate age groups should verify the current schedule before arriving. Sunday at 10 remains the simplest first visit for adults and families, while the midweek revival, children's program, and student gathering offer a clearer view of the congregation's Pentecostal-leaning worship and formation during the week.
