St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church

About this church

St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto begins its weekend Mass schedule with the 5 p.m. Saturday Vigil, followed Sunday at 7:30, 9:30, and 11 a.m. Daily Mass is Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 6:15 a.m.; Wednesday at 8 a.m.; and Tuesday again at 6:30 p.m., followed by Perpetual Help devotions. On the first Saturday of each month, Mass is at 8 a.m. and Confession from 8:30 to 9. Regular Saturday Confession is 4 to 4:45 p.m. The parish's Adoration Chapel operates continuously, with participants committing to a weekly hour.

The parish describes its purpose as bringing people peace and rest through Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. St. Rose School serves prekindergarten ages three and four through eighth grade, while the Parish School of Religion serves kindergarten through eighth grade. First Penance and First Communion preparation normally occurs in second grade through either school pathway. Ministries also include adult faith-sharing seasons, liturgical service, charitable work, and parish organizations. Weekend visitors have four Mass choices, while the first-Saturday morning sequence is distinct from the weekly Vigil. Families seeking religious education should request the current calendar because the overview still links an older PSR schedule even though its program and grade range remain published.
