Church of Christ

About this church

Mountain Grove Church of Christ begins Sundays with Bible class at 9:00 a.m., worship at 10:00, and a second assembly at 11:15. The church notes that the Lord’s Supper is not offered during the second assembly; its regular worship description identifies weekly Communion in the primary service. Wednesday Bible study meets at 7:00 p.m. The plan-a-visit page invites guests to announce a visit but also explains that they will be welcomed without being singled out, a useful reassurance for someone unfamiliar with the congregation.

Worship is intentionally simple: congregational a cappella singing without instruments, public prayer, preaching from Scripture, giving, and the Lord’s Supper. The church grounds its organization, teaching, mission, and hope in the New Testament, which makes its Church of Christ identity clear without relying only on a directory category. Online sermons and studies offer a preview before attending. For someone searching for a Church of Christ in Mountain Grove, the distinctive features are three consecutive Sunday components, unaccompanied singing, weekly Communion at the main assembly, and a Wednesday study hour. Visitors should use the official homepage for any temporary schedule notices.
