Christ Church Cathedral offers two Episcopal Eucharists each Sunday in downtown St. Louis. The 8 a.m. Rite I service is quiet and meditative, placing the emphasis on spoken language from the Book of Common Prayer. The 10:30 a.m. Rite II Eucharist includes choral music. Babies through teens are welcome at both, with front-of-cathedral spaces furnished with rugs, floor pillows, child-sized chairs, and activity bags. Online prayer continues through the week: Morning Prayer is posted after 7 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and the dean leads weekday Compline live at 7:30 p.m.

The cathedral traces its congregation to 26 people who met in 1823 in a former dance hall and courtroom. It describes the present building as a place for worship, prayer, and advocacy for both neighborhood and city. Music and lay participation remain prominent. The Cathedral Choir and other musicians support regular and special services; acolytes age ten and older carry crosses, torches, flags, and banners, while lectors, Eucharistic ministers, and altar-guild members take defined roles in the liturgy. Seasonal services may be in person, livestreamed, or both, including Advent Lessons and Carols, Holy Week, diocesan baptisms, and confirmations.
