First Presbyterian Church of Miles City

About this church

First Presbyterian Church of Miles City is a downtown congregation where traditional worship, intergenerational learning, children’s formation shared with a neighboring Methodist church, community prayer, a weekly soup-and-study gathering, and support for the Miles City Soup Kitchen link faith with relationships and local care. Its long-running radio ministry gives people across a broad rural area another way to hear Sunday worship.

Sunday worship begins at 9:00 a.m. in the sanctuary and streams live on Facebook; the same service is broadcast later at 11:00 on KATL 770 AM, a ministry the congregation has maintained since 1949. Sunday School alternates by week. “Sunday School 4 Everyone” meets at First Presbyterian around 10:35 on the first and third Sundays. Children’s Sunday School begins at 10:10 on the second Sunday at First United Methodist Church and on the fourth Sunday at First Presbyterian. Wednesday soup, study, and fellowship begins at 6:00 p.m., and community prayer meets in the East Room at noon on the first Thursday. Across the street, the Miles City Soup Kitchen serves meals at the Methodist church Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m., except holidays. Public pages do not specify parking, accessibility, dress, nursery care, child check-in, worship duration, or regular Communion frequency.
