Cohansey Baptist Church

About this church

Cohansey Baptist Church is a Bridgeton congregation connecting Sunday worship with an American Baptist approach to local and global mission. Its mission committee teaches that every Christian has a role in gospel work, beginning at home and extending into community service, international partnerships, special offerings, and projects for all ages. The church directly supports missionaries through American Baptist International Ministries and participates in efforts such as Operation Christmas Child and youth education about global hunger.

Sunday morning worship begins at 10:30 a.m. The accessible official pages do not publish a separate current Sunday School or evening-service hour, so visitors should use the verified morning time and contact the church for additional weekly programs. The mission committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Its youth 30 Hour Famine page describes a February 2025 event, not a recurring annual date that should be added to the weekly schedule. Operation Christmas Child likewise follows a seasonal collection calendar with both physical and online box options. Newcomers can expect a congregation where mission participation is presented as part of Christian life rather than a specialized activity for people traveling overseas.
