First Presbyterian Church

About this church

First Presbyterian Church of Franklin gathers for traditional worship Sundays at 10 a.m., with a Facebook livestream for people joining remotely. Children begin in the sanctuary and, from September through June, leave after the children's sermon for Sunday school. Coffee, snacks, and conversation follow the service, giving newcomers an easy way to meet the congregation after a recognizably Presbyterian worship hour. Recordings of earlier services are linked from the worship page.

The church's local service is especially practical through a medical-equipment ministry that lends and sanitizes home-health items for community use. The congregation's history includes the dedication of its mission-style church building in 1914, connecting current worship with more than a century in Franklin. Mission, care, Christian education, and fellowship offer routes into church life beyond the service. People seeking a Presbyterian church in Sussex County will find one Sunday gathering, traditional worship, livestream access, school-year children's formation, and a tangible community-care ministry. Families should check the calendar during summer, when Sunday school pauses, and anyone borrowing equipment should arrange pickup or return with the office.
