Hackensack Gospel Church

About this church

Hackensack Gospel Church offers an English service Sundays at 10:00 a.m. and a Spanish service at 11:30. The congregation's mission is to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, whether through corporate worship, small-group discipleship, community care, or global missions. Two language-specific gatherings make the church accessible to more Bergen County households while still sharing one ministry identity.

The church has proclaimed the gospel in Hackensack for more than 150 years, beginning when the city was still a small village with dirt roads. Children's ministry includes Sunday School, weekday groups, Vacation Bible School, camp, and a Christian academy serving preschool through eighth grade. Volunteers working with children complete background screening, and families fill out a registration card on their first visit. Student ministry adds Bible studies, retreats, and youth groups designed to help teenagers build durable Christian faith. Mission work extends across people groups and nations, while local service includes feeding neighbors experiencing homelessness. Visitors can choose by worship language and should allow extra time for children's registration if using family programs.
