Emmanuel Baptist Church

About this church

Emmanuel Baptist Church meets Sundays at 11:00 a.m. at 34 South Third Avenue in Manville, with prayer meeting Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. The church invites people who are new to church or returning after time away to expect celebratory worship and Bible teaching. Its visitor guidance emphasizes that guests are not pressured to give or perform; the stated aim is to serve people as they grow in a relationship with Jesus.

Discipleship extends through adult Sunday education, Bible Community Groups, and the Wednesday study-and-prayer gathering. During the school year, children have Sunday classes at 10:00 a.m., while youth meet Friday evenings for recreation, refreshments, and a Bible-based challenge in the church’s gym and recreation hall. Those schedules give families and adults several ways to meet people outside the main service. A first-time visitor who wants only worship can arrive for 11:00; someone seeking conversation or age-specific learning may prefer a class or smaller group. Because children’s and youth activities follow the school calendar, check the current events page or contact the church before planning around a particular program.
