Christian Fellowship Center & Outreach Ministries

About this church

Christian Fellowship Center & Outreach Ministries gathers in Paterson for Sunday worship at 9 a.m., with in-person, Facebook, livestream, and YouTube access. Wednesday prayer and praise begins at 7 p.m., followed by family Bible study at 7:30; Thursday intercessory prayer meets online at 7. CFC also directs children and adults into small groups for Scripture, prayer, friendship, and accountability. Because the ministry has a second location in Cleveland, Tennessee, visitors should use the Van Houten Street directions specifically when planning for this New Jersey listing.

CFC describes its purpose as loving God, providing loyal service, and liberating lives. Its urban-ministry vision is a multicultural, cross-generational church proclaiming the gospel, equipping people for ministry, and helping believers mature. The congregation's history reaches to a house-basement church founded in 1971, later known as St. John Missionary Baptist Church. A separate college fellowship organized in 1980 and became an established church organization in 1982; those ministry streams eventually shaped the present center. Its beliefs emphasize Scripture, salvation by grace through faith, baptism by immersion, the baptism and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and a Spirit-filled life. The clearest entry point is Sunday worship; Tuesday Bible study and Thursday prayer then provide two online ways to learn the congregation's rhythm.
