Mountain Christian Church is a nondenominational evangelical congregation serving Cedar Crest and New Mexico’s East Mountains. Sunday worship combines expository Bible preaching, weekly Communion, and music that may move from classic hymns to contemporary songs or an occasional country style. The campus includes a sanctuary, nursery and preschool room, children’s classrooms, fellowship hall, library, youth building, playground, and basketball court. Community groups, missions, women’s studies, and youth ministries give adults and students ways to develop relationships and serve beyond worship.

Sunday services begin at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Middle-school youth meet Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and high-school students Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 at The Gathering. Women’s Community Bible Study meets Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. and Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. from September through April or May. A Starting Point Coffee for newcomers is held on the second Sunday each month in the conference room. Visitors will see both casual and more formal dress and should stop at the welcome tables for current Sunday School placement.
