About this church

Temple Baptist Church in Hobbs is a Baptist congregation on North Grimes Street. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m., followed by the morning worship service at 11 a.m., and the church meets again Sunday evening at 6 p.m.; confirm current times on the church website. The church describes its members as imperfect people trying to share God's love both locally and around the world, and it holds that the gospel is for everyone. Its statement of beliefs covers Jesus, salvation, baptism as a public declaration of faith, the church, and the Bible as its guide.

Children's ministry offers classes from nursery through fifth grade during both Sunday School and the worship service. TBC Student Ministry meets Sunday at 6 p.m. and focuses on helping students love God, love people, and serve others. Adults can join one of four Life Groups that meet on Mondays and Wednesdays; the church office shares meeting times and locations. A bus ministry picks people up every Sunday, and anyone who needs a ride can call the office to arrange one. The church also runs a community clothes closet with clothing in all ages and sizes, available by appointment. Questions can be sent to the church office by phone or email.
