First United Methodist Church of Belen

About this church

First United Methodist Church of Belen serves Belen and Rio Communities from its Manzano Expressway campus. The congregation describes itself as diverse and welcoming across ages, family situations, and backgrounds. Its Sunday worship intentionally blends contemporary praise music with traditional hymns, while children, youth, choir, Bible study, mission, and outreach provide paths into church life throughout the week.

Sunday worship begins at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary and is livestreamed on YouTube, then shared to Facebook. The homepage lists Bible study Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.; a Sunday Bible-study hour is marked “TBD,” so visitors should not assume one without confirmation. Choir rehearsal meets Thursday at 7:00. The church’s worship page contains an apparent “1:00 a.m.” typo, while the homepage repeatedly publishes 11:00 a.m.; this profile uses the consistent homepage time. The Rio Communities directory location is not a separate campus from the Belen-branded congregation: the official site gives the same 75 Manzano Expressway address and describes one church community. Visitors can therefore follow the Belen website and 11:00 schedule for this listing.
