Tabernacle Baptist Church

About this church

Tabernacle Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie begins Sunday School for all ages at 9:30 a.m. and worship onsite and by livestream at 10:45. The service combines traditional and contemporary songs, Scripture reading, and biblical preaching. Parking is on Holmes Street, where an entrance and greeters help visitors become oriented. Children begin in the main service with their families and may then move to Children's Church for age-appropriate singing, activities, and gospel-centered teaching.

Wednesday AWANA and adult small groups meet from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Young adults gather Thursdays at 7:00 in a home, and the Bricks youth group meets Fridays from 7:00 to 9:00. Children's teaching emphasizes God's story of redemption rather than moral lessons alone, while parents may keep children in the full worship service if they prefer. Life groups, student ministry, and adult studies extend worship into relationships and discipleship. First-time guests can use the Holmes Street lot and attend Sunday School, worship, or both.
