Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church

About this church

Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church is a historic East End congregation where worship, fellowship, children’s education, music, and mission remain closely tied to the surrounding community. Its preserved records and artifacts reach back more than three centuries and include a Bible owned by the first pastor, who served from 1695 to 1748. The church is also a state and national historic site and hosts regional arts organizations, including chamber-music and choral performances.

Sunday worship follows a seasonal schedule: 10:30 a.m. during most of the year and 9:30 during July and August, with fellowship afterward. The homepage labels the 10:30 season September through May, while the worship page says September through June; visitors planning a June service should confirm the hour. Children age four and older leave after the children’s message for Bible stories, worksheets, crafts, and singing. Published nursery information also conflicts: one section says supervised care is available, while another says the room is not currently staffed and requires a parent or caregiver. Mission work includes food and lunches for local neighbors, Christmas gifts for area families, knitted items for newborn intensive care, support for East End human-service organizations, and an annual partnership trip carrying over-the-counter medicine to a sister church in Güines, Cuba.
