Sharon Presbyterian Church

About this church

Sharon Presbyterian Church gathers on a 23-acre campus at 5201 Sharon Road in Charlotte’s SouthPark area. The primary Sunday service is traditional worship at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary, with biblically based preaching, prayer, and music. Sunday School for all ages meets from 9:30 to 10:15, and nursery care welcomes infants through age four. A more intimate, casual Morning Song service with contemporary music is scheduled to return at 8:30 a.m. on September 13, 2026, so visitors should confirm its current seasonal status.

Established in 1831, Sharon is a Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation rooted in Reformed theology and a mission of being rooted in God’s grace, sharing Christ’s joy, and loving and serving all. Its campus includes historic worship spaces, classrooms, gyms, a weekday school, playgrounds, and an outreach center used by the wider community. Children, youth, and adults can join faith formation, music, fellowship, and service. Local mission partners address food insecurity, housing, crisis assistance, recovery, and other needs, while global relationships extend the church’s work to Peru and Africa.
