Stoney Creek AME Church

About this church

Stoney Creek AME Church in Elon begins Sundays with Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. and worship at 11:00. Bible study meets on the first, third, and fourth Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m., with Zoom details published on the church’s location page. As an African Methodist Episcopal congregation, Stoney Creek combines Methodist worship and formation with ministries shaped by the AME tradition. These include the Sons of Allen fellowship for men, a class-leader system of care and accountability, and music, worship, and arts programs that support choir, visual arts, and participation in services.

The congregation’s ministry pages emphasize hospitality as well as Christian action. Ushers help visitors find their way and maintain a welcoming service environment, while the social-action ministry addresses community concerns through advocacy, education, outreach, and work for equality and justice. People who want to learn before attending can watch archived sermons on the church site. The campus is at 3769 Milesville Road, and the official location page provides directions and a telephone contact. Because the Wednesday study skips the second and fifth weeks and may use Zoom, check that page rather than assuming an every-Wednesday meeting. Review the calendar as well for special AME observances and seasonal worship changes.
