St. James United Methodist Church

About this church

St. James United Methodist Church is a Greenville congregation offering three Sunday worship settings alongside formation, children and youth ministries, community service, international mission, music, and pastoral care. Traditional liturgy and contemporary multimedia worship coexist on the same campus. As a United Methodist Lighthouse Congregation, St. James also commits to welcoming people whose prior congregations disaffiliated or closed.

Traditional worship begins Sunday at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. ConneXion worship begins at 9:00 in the Christian Life Ministry Center with contemporary music and multimedia. The 9:00 and 11:00 services stream online. On the second Saturday each month, World Wide Worship begins at 5:00 p.m. with praise from multiple cultures. Thank God It’s Wednesday classes generally run from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., preceded by a meal at 5:15. The church’s news page contains dated Lent and service-project posts, while the dedicated worship and growth pages hold the stable schedule. Visitors choosing by style can attend 8:30 or 11:00 for traditional worship or 9:00 for contemporary praise.
