Second Baptist Church

About this church

Second Baptist Church in Hamlet begins Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at approximately 10:55 or 11. Wednesday Family Worship starts at 6 p.m. The Sunday service blends timeless Baptist music with a current sound, includes Bible-centered preaching, and is available through the church's broadcast ministry for people joining from home. The congregation presents itself as a warm community for people at different points in their spiritual journey, with classes and worship intended to deepen both biblical understanding and relationships.

Children have Sunday School, programming during the worship service, and Wednesday activities, while youth meet Wednesday at 6 for teaching, friendship, and spiritual growth. Student mission trips through World Changers combine construction or repair projects with sharing the gospel in communities that need help. Adults can choose among Sunday School classes shaped around different ages and life stages, and musicians may join the praise band or choir. The official pages differ by five minutes when naming the start of morning worship, so guests should plan to be seated before 10:55. The 9:45 class time and 6 p.m. Wednesday gathering are published consistently.
