Assurance United Methodist Church

About this church

Assurance United Methodist Church in Huntersville offers two Sunday styles at 9700 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road. Modern worship begins at 9:45 a.m. with a full band and family-friendly setting; traditional worship follows at 11:15 with a full orchestra and choir. The congregation is grounded in Wesleyan heritage but makes room for theological questions, honest conversation, and people from Christian or non-Christian backgrounds at any point in a faith journey.

GrowZone serves infants through prekindergarten through caregiver relationships and kindergarten through fifth grade through worship and faith formation. The church uses Safe Sanctuaries child-protection and risk-reduction policies, and its current children’s page asks families to preregister each child by Friday night or before capacity is reached. Middle- and high-school youth help plan events, retreats, and mission outreach through a representative CORE leadership team; seventh grade and older can also explore United Methodist membership formation. Assurance began as the Northwest Mecklenburg Methodist Mission, first worshiping in a school gym, and later added its Huntersville campus, preschool, education wing, and modern service. Its mission is to grow as followers of Jesus and go serve Christ in the world.
