Fall Creek Baptist Church

About this church

Fall Creek Baptist Church in Jonesville follows a full weekly schedule: Sunday School at 10 a.m., worship at 11, and an evening service at 6. Wednesday Bible study and Youth 4 Truth both begin at 7 p.m. Bible Buddies provides a structured program for younger children, with one class for ages three through five and another for ages six through eight. Lessons move chronologically through biblical history and include prayer, songs, games, and a related story. Teachers complete special training and background checks, giving parents specific safety information before a first visit.

The congregation began December 11, 1875, with the blessing of Swaims Baptist Church. Its first revival followed in 1876 and lasted nine days, and the church observed its first Communion service that year. Later growth brought dedicated Sunday School rooms and a new piano in the 1950s, followed by additional classrooms in 1965. Fall Creek uses the King James Version in classes and worship, teaches believer's baptism by immersion, and observes baptism and the Lord's Supper as church ordinances. That doctrinal and translation information makes the church's style clearer than a schedule alone. Families should ask which service currently includes Bible Buddies and whether Youth 4 Truth has grade requirements.
