The Refuge Church

About this church

The Refuge Church in Kannapolis holds Sunday services at 9 and 11 a.m. Its mission is to “be” the church rather than merely “do” church—revering God in daily life and revealing God to the people members encounter. The congregation teaches baptism by immersion as a public expression of salvation, baptism in the Holy Spirit as empowerment for Christian life and witness, and prayer for divine healing. Small groups are presented as the primary setting for spiritual growth, accountability, relationship, and using personal gifts to help others connect.

Refuge Kids serves kindergarten through fifth grade on Wednesday nights in a high-energy environment that combines friendship, worship, prayer, discipleship, and encounters with God. A separate youth page is available, although its public text does not give grades or a recurring time. Community outreach works through nonprofit partnerships and direct responses to local needs. A widow's ministry offers women friendship, encouragement, shared experience, faith growth, and support after the loss of a spouse. The website does not publish service length, music style, nursery ages, children's check-in procedures, accessibility, parking, livestream access, or the Wednesday children's hour; those details should be requested before a first visit.
