Capella Church of Christ

About this church

Capella Church of Christ begins small groups and Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. and worship at 10:00 at 1187 Flat Shoals Road in King. The service has a relaxed atmosphere, band-led praise using psalms, hymns, and contemporary spiritual songs, practical biblical preaching, and Communion every Sunday. Baptized believers who have called on Jesus as Savior are invited to receive. Visitors are not singled out, and clothing may be as casual as they prefer.

Nursery workers care for babies and toddlers, while Junior Church serves ages three through ten with energetic worship, Bible teaching, games, creative activities, and snacks. Middle- and high-school students use the Sunday School hour for interactive teaching and discussion. Two Wednesday Bible studies meet at 6:30 p.m.—one in the sanctuary and a women-and-girls group in the Fellowship Hall. Capella says spiritual change happens in circles as well as rows, so its small groups emphasize mutual support, accountability, prayer, and encouragement alongside the main service. For first-time families, the official site describes both tone and transitions: welcoming but not public attention, freedom in musical response, separate care for young children, age-specific learning, weekly Communion, and midweek options that extend beyond Sunday morning.
