Idlewild Baptist Church

About this church

Idlewild Baptist Church starts Sunday Life Groups at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 11:00 in Mint Hill. First-time guests are encouraged to arrive around 10:45, with reserved spaces near the entrance and a Guest Services team ready to provide directions and a welcome gift. Clothing ranges from casual to traditional Sunday attire. Nursery and children's check-in are available, though the church notes that Children's Church does not meet on the first Sunday of each month so families can participate in the Lord's Supper together. Wednesday activities begin at 6:30 p.m.

Children's programming combines Sunday learning with AWANA on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 and offers adaptations for children with healthcare needs or learning differences. Students, women, adults over fifty, and discipleship groups have separate points of connection. A particularly distinctive missions resource is Idlewild's Mission House, donated in 1977 to provide rest and lodging for missionaries during stateside assignments; it continues to operate through congregational support. With arrival guidance, security policies, accessible family communication, and a longstanding hospitality ministry, Idlewild gives prospective visitors a concrete view of both Sunday logistics and its wider Baptist mission.
