Fork Baptist Church

About this church

Fork Baptist Church begins Sunday school at 8:45 a.m., followed by worship and a parallel children's worship service at 10, at 3140 U.S. Highway 64 East in Mocksville. At 5:30 p.m., AWANA and youth meet during the program year, with the official schedule noting that AWANA resumes in fall. Middle- and high-school students also gather in the Loft at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Pastor-led Bible study and prayer begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday and are available online or through Facebook Live.

The congregation says it is united around studying the Bible for daily life and sharing Christlike love with others. Its detailed beliefs place the church in a Baptist framework centered on the triune God, salvation through Jesus, Scripture, worship, and fellowship. Children's ministry treats young people as a gift from God and requires people connecting to ministry service to complete an application and background check. The combination of children's worship at the same hour as the main service, seasonal AWANA, and a separate Wednesday teen gathering gives families several age-specific entry points. Adults who are not ready for an in-person first visit can also watch the weekly Monday noon online feature or join the Wednesday study remotely. Since the fall resumption date is seasonal, parents should verify AWANA's current status before bringing a child on Sunday evening.
