The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Rockingham

About this church

Rockingham, North Carolina has a single meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the directory, at 310 Roberdel Road; the closest other building sits in Cheraw, some twenty miles east. Its entrance, parking lot, restroom, and seating are all wheelchair accessible.

The branch meets Sundays at 10 a.m., filling the building's two-hour block. Hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from branch members make up the first hour, and the second turns to classes, Primary included for the youngest. Visiting costs nothing at all, and no offering plate goes around. Dress varies from formal to plain among those attending. Because Rockingham Branch sets its own schedule locally, and that schedule can move from year to year, a quick call ahead of a first visit is worth the trouble.
