Community of Christ Church

About this church

Community of Christ Church is an independent Akron congregation whose vision is to love God, heal broken people, build leaders, and influence the world. The church describes its members as people who found their answer in Jesus through personal struggles and now want to share that hope with others. Worship, children's Bible lessons, youth fellowship, prayer, music, leadership, and service provide settings for different generations. Children's ministry combines age-appropriate Scripture, activities, and interactive worship, while the youth group focuses on faith, friendship, purpose, and navigating daily challenges with God at the center.

Sunday morning worship begins at 10:00 a.m., and Wednesday night service at 7:00 p.m. A men's prayer breakfast meets at Akron Family Restaurant on the first Saturday of each month at 7:30 a.m.; a women's prayer breakfast meets at Waterloo Restaurant on the last Saturday at 9:00. A Friday ARC meeting is listed at Beacon Cafe at 7:00 p.m. Because those breakfast and Friday gatherings take place away from the Grant Street sanctuary, visitors should follow the named venue rather than the church address. The homepage also carries current 2026 retreat information, while the visit and upcoming-services pages distinguish recurring worship from special events.
