Eaton Methodist Church

About this church

Eaton Methodist Church holds adult Sunday School at 9 a.m. and worship at 10. The service expresses faith through song, prayer, biblical preaching, and at times the Apostles’ or Nicene Creed. Newcomers are explicitly welcomed whether they have attended church for years or not entered a sanctuary in decades. Clothing ranges widely, so formal dress is unnecessary. Parking is behind the church, with spaces nearest the entrance available to people with limited mobility or young children. Greeters can direct families to Sunday School rooms as well as the sanctuary, restrooms, and fellowship area.

The church’s mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, developed through a “SERVANT” framework that includes Scripture, worship, Christian community, and using spiritual gifts. Local service supports the Preble County Food Bank and Once Around Shop with food, clothing, school supplies, and Christmas gifts; the outreach page reports 1,634 donated food items, 350 school supplies, and gifts for 30 children in 2023. Shoebox missions connect material gifts with an optional Bible study. Eaton’s Methodist roots reach to irregular services in a log cabin and private homes before an organized society formed in 1824. Current pages leave worship length, music type, Communion and baptism policies, children’s care, safety practices, step-free routes beyond nearby parking, hearing support, and streaming to be confirmed.
