Girard First United Methodist Church

About this church

Girard First United Methodist Church gathers Sundays at 11:00 a.m., with nursery care and Kids in Motion offered during worship. The congregation describes itself as real, down-to-earth, inclusive, and relevant to everyday life—a place to meet Jesus, find community, discover personal gifts, and put them to use. Music comes through the Revive worship band, volunteer choir, and seasonal cantatas. A guest can expect styles and dress to vary freely; the church’s visitor guidance simply says jeans, shorts, and suits all belong.

Street parking is available in front of and beside the building, with an additional lot diagonally across from the church. Guests who cannot use steps can pull into the south alley and call for a lift operator, providing access to every level. Kids in Motion uses weekly lessons to help children understand God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and faith in daily life, with registration collecting allergy, special-needs, and approved-pickup information. Adults can connect through Sunday School, Hannah Circle, Sisterhood, and other neighborhood small groups. Community support and an emphasis on faith in action give the church a practical Methodist identity beyond its Sunday service.
